Naomi Kuttner is a New Zealand author whose work blends warmth, wit, and murder in roughly equal measure.

Her debut cozy mystery series, The Retired Assassin's Guide, is set in the fictional coastal town of Te Kohe and follows Dante — an ex-assassin attempting retirement — who keeps finding himself entangled in the sort of murderous local drama he was trying to leave behind.

The series has earned praise for its dry humour, vivid New Zealand setting, and the unlikely friendship at its heart. 

Naomi lives on the North Island of New Zealand, two hours from Hobbiton. In real life, she's busy raising her twin son and daughter, talking philosophy with her dog Max, and in her free time (ha!) she loves surfing and wingfoiling.
